S&P 500

Investments

A stock market index tracking 500 of the largest publicly traded companies in the United States, weighted by market capitalization. The S&P 500 is widely considered the best single gauge of large-cap U.S. equities and serves as a common benchmark for investment performance. Many index funds and ETFs track this index.
