Target-Date Fund

Investments

A mutual fund designed to automatically shift its asset allocation from aggressive (more stocks) to conservative (more bonds) as it approaches a target retirement date. For example, a "2045 Fund" is designed for someone planning to retire around 2045. These funds provide a simple, hands-off approach to age-appropriate investing and automatic rebalancing.
