Annual Defined Contribution Limit

Contributions

The total cap on all combined employee and employer additions to a defined contribution workplace retirement plan for the year, as set by the IRS under Section 415. This includes employee deferrals, employer matching, profit-sharing contributions, and after-tax contributions. For Solo 401(k) plans, this limit represents the maximum you can contribute across all contribution types.
