Conversion (DSTs)

Alternative Investments

The process of exchanging an interest in a Delaware Statutory Trust (DST) for a different form of investment or liquidity. DSTs are commonly used in 1031 exchanges for real estate investments. In a retirement context, this may involve converting DST interests held in a self-directed IRA or Solo 401(k) that permits alternative investments.
