SDIRA (Self-Directed IRA)

Account Types

An Individual Retirement Account that allows for alternative investments beyond traditional stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. SDIRAs can hold real estate, private equity, precious metals, cryptocurrency, and other non-traditional assets. They require a specialized custodian and carry additional complexity and risks, including the potential for prohibited transactions.
